School Consolidation Press Conference

I only see a handful that don't deserve to be on a board, only a handful that are embarrassing. One in particular on the BOS and three on the SB. This last thing with the loan thing was just one of the most common sense things I've seen put forth, yet they ***** and moaned with out one single logical reason to oppose it.

Yeah, I was like why are they fighting about trying to get the loan. stupid.

BTW, Norton had that same set up at a gym/cafeteria/auditorum till last year when they got their new gym build on the side of the school. very nice gym by the way.

Yeah, I remember that article, but Reagan was the one who pulled the plug on it because he said it wasn't needed, we had plenty enough alternative energy sources to open it. The decision brought the Hawkins county economy to a stand still. Reagan went on to have coal fired plants built at several sites in the country. I really think the reason was that everyone was afraid of the nuclear power then. Now, what concerns me about this is the fact that Obama is for a "clean" coal power plant. What's to say he doesn't do the same as Reagan and halt the construction or the start up of the plant in Virginia City? Dominion has at least one plant already built and ready for start up, but it has sat idle for a while with no activity at all. It was also built with the same technoligy as this one is being built.

The thing is it is not about the loan it is about delaying EVERYTHING till loan money drys up or an election puts things back in there favor.....I am still thinking that we may see the Bashham plan in the next 2 years

I MAY be wrong but I think if they were to go with the Bashham plan money would be "FOUND" to built 3 new schools (look how much the threat of going to the Bashahm moved the BOS on funding)
